First we started by visiting the puffins at Lundey, but we only saw 4 puffins flying around. Than we headed on and after 5 minutes we spotted our first minke whale, very close to land. It was surfacing very calmly next to us many times. After a while we decided to head out to Faxaflói, after a while we spotted some diving gannets in the distance and in there we found a minke whale, it surfaced few times. And after a while we were seeing at least 4 - 6 minke whales, one of them came really close and you could also easily se it under the surface, just beautiful! On the way home we spotted 2 harbour porpoises. Great tour!

We went straight out into the whale watching area and spotted around 10 to 15 different Minke Whales! Sometimes they came close and some were seen a bit further away. At one point we saw 3 of them coming up at the same time. We observed them for a good time until we went to the puffin island Lundey. We saw only one puffin in the Island. On the way back to the harbour we spotted a minke whale really close to Viðey Island. This minke whale was feeding on mackerel and at one time he jumped out of the water with his whole body just 10 meters from the boat. We could easily see his pink and white belly. On the 10:00 clock tour we started by seeing a jumping minke whale and on this tour we ended it by seeing this wonderful behaviour of the minke whale. No words to describe this tour, just amazing.

It didn't take us a long time to find the first whale this afternoon. We were heading to the puffin island Lundey when we spotted on minke whale like the tour before. It was very close to the island and swam around it like it was taking a puffin tour with us. It surfaced quite often and some times very close to the boat. But not many puffins on the island this time. Out in the bay we found a good are with lots of diving gannets and many minke whales surfacing many times. So, all together, beautiful weather, lots of whales and birds. Gorges tour.

Report from Elding II: We sailed out in a beautiful weather and a calm sea. First we stopped by Puffin island and there were lots of puffins. One was really curious and came really close to the boat and just looked at us.5 minutes after the puffins we spotted a minke whale, really close to land, surfaced many times VERY close to the boat and once only 1-2 meters away!!! AMAZING and than it rolled in the surface for us, it was very calm and curious. After a while we sailed out to Faxaflói bay, there we spotted lots of diving gannets, and with them we spotted a minke whale. And after a while we were seeing at least 8 minke whales all around, some really close other further away and 2 of them were surface feeding and rolling in the surface. Breathtaking tour we had, just amazing.

Report from Elding: We started the tour by visiting the puffin island Lundey where we saw tons of puffins. 5 minutes after the Puffin Island we spotted 2 Minke Whales, really close to the Viðey Island. One of this minke breached vertically out of the sea making huge white splash. This was definitely one of the best start of a tour this summer! We observed it for a while until we went further out to Faxaflói and spotted around 5 minke whales and one of them a calf. They were all very nice minke whales coming quite close to the boat. On the way back to the harbour we spotted a group of nice Harbour Porpoises. A really good trip with lots of fun whales and passengers.
Report from Hafúlan: The sea was calm and the weather was sunny when we headed out this morning. Before we reached the puffin island Lundey we spotted a lot of schools of mackerel close to the harbour and because of the fish also two Minke Whales amazingly close to the harbour. We could follow this animals for quite some time before we went to Lundey and watched the puffins on the island. After that we headed further out. It took us some time but after a while we spotted some Minke Whales again in the same area, surfacing some time. Also on our way back a Minke Whale crossed our path. All together a really good tour this morning.
