CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: We still had a bit of wind left over from yesterday, but the seas had calmed down dramatically. It didn't take us long after setting out from the harbour to spot our first animals. Next to Videy island was our pair of humpback whales. Banana and (newly named) Radar were still side-by-side. This afternoon the two were feeding! They showed off their impressive flukes when they dived down for the fish and one of them even used some pec slapping to maybe stun some of the fish closer to the surface. After watching them for a while, we decided to move a little further out and soon spotted at pod of 7-10 white-beaked dolphins! At first they were a little elusive and we soon saw why. They had 2 calves in the pod! They then began to get more curious and playful! We saw a few jumps, even a couple from the calves(!), and a head slap! They decided to move on after a few close encounters and we didn't want to chase them so we sailed back to our humpbacks for one last look before going back to the harbour. An amazing afternoon at sea!
