All whale watching tours are on schedule today from Reykjavík! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Hafsulan:

We sailed out into the bay to find some cetaceans and thankfully we didn't have to go too far, just 5 minutes outside the harbor we found a very sleepy humpback whale. It was logging at the surface, not caring about us, so we could have a nice look at it ! We saw his white pectoral fins and his blowhole. Then after a while he dived down and came up at a little further distance. So we followed and watched it again. Then it showed us it's beautiful fluke when it went down again. We then left in the search for something else. The bay was quite empty, so we sailed back to the humpback and watched it a few more times. It granted us again with a nice view on itself and it's fluke before we had to leave it.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Hafsulan: The sea had calmed a bit more since the morning while a chilly breeze slowly blew in more clouds. We rather quickly found the same humpback whale which had woken up from its slumber and was now very frantically travelling the area, keeping us on our toes as we tried to keep up. We did manage however to get multiple great fluke dives and some surfaces super close to us! We also spotted an elusive minke whale, which the few lucky and persevering passengers were able to spot. All in all, another successful afternoon!
