CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: This morning as soon as we went out, the sun started to shine on our faces saying good morning! It was a mix of sun, light rain, few rainbows and a strong swell on the waves. We started sailing out and not longer after, we spotted a few splashes ahead! There was a white-beaked dolphin showing off their jumping skills on the surface, and then we realized there were more coming next to him. There was about 10 individuals, all surfing with the swell. They kept disappearing from time to time, so we decided to continue  our trip. We then decided to come back closer to the shore, as the weather wouldn't allow us to go further. Next to the islands, we appreciated Esja mountain, glorious and gorgeous in the sunlight! We ended up finding a minke whale! It was closer to Reykjavijk and at the same area, a pod of 5 harbour porpoises passing by! The captain also said there was plenty of fish in the area. We stayed with the minke for a while and we could see it well for meny times, but a the time was running out, we returned to the harbour happy with the today's sightings!
