Report from Eldey: It is simply fantastic how calm the sea has been these last days. And although it was overcast, the visibility was very good and we started out optimistic of finding something. Again we searched the area of Kollafjödur first for the humpback whale we've now been seeing for 15 days. It took nearly 2 hours, but in the end we found it! Further out in the bay than usually though and also showing a bit of a different behaviour. Firstly it seemed to be feeding at the bottom, as it was raising it's fluke very high before diving for some minutes. Then, however, it became a bit lazy and gave us some wonderful and slow surfaces in close proximity to our boat. At a point it began to move away further so we decided to leave it alone and search the area a bit more, encountering a huge flock of birds! A great tour, with wonderful scenery of the landscape, the city of Reykjavík from the ocean view and a lovely humpback whale.
