Report from Eldey: Weather is giving us hard times last days with cloudy sky and strong wind, luckily this morning conditions were still enough good to sail around Faxafloi. This month so far was amazing, with great sightings every day and we were hoping to have another exciting day out on the sea. We were searching in all places where we knew whale have been but nothing was there this time. Nature works in mysterious way and it's out of our control. Despite lack of cetacean, bird-watchers had a great time as we saw many puffins, razorbills and northern gannets. At the end of this trip we offered complimentary tickets for our passengers to return for free another day.

Birds seen today include: atlantic puffin, razorbill, common guillemot, northern gannet, northern fulmar, black-legged kittiwake, lesser black-back gull, eider duck

We are sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavík today at 9:00. It is quite windy in the bay this morning, and if you are prone to seasickness we have some seasickness tablets available at our ticket office. Make sure to dress warmly and make use of our warm overalls as it is always colder on sea than on land. For more information contact us by email elding@elding.is or by phone +354 519 5000.
