Tour at 17:00 We went straight out into the bay and started to look for whales. We spotted a Minke whale really quickly and stayed with him a long time. He was so nice and surfaced really slowly. He came so close to the boat and we still saw him under the water. It was fantastic! When he went for a deeper dive we headed on. We soon spotted another Minke Whale this one was also really nice it went for a deeper dive but stayed near the boat, so we could follow him really nice. Time was running much to fast and we had to go back to the Puffin Island Akurey. It seemed like the Puffins went already to bed. But some were still sitting in the front of the Island. It was a marvelous tour!!!

We started out tour again with the Puffin Island Akurey and we weren’t disappointed. There were many Puffins flying around the Island and lots were sitting on the island. We went into the bay and started looking for whales after  while we spotted a Minke Whale and we stayed with him for a while but he took long deep dive so we soon went on to find another one. We saw 2 more Minke whales. So there were at least 3 animals in the area. The last Minke Whale was really nice. He surfaced really slowly so we could have a good look at him. Really pleased we went back to the harbour.

We started our tour with a stop at the Puffin Island Akurey. There were many Puffins flying above the Island and so many were sitting on the water surface. It looked like they were taking a morning bath. After this nice visit we went further out into Faxaflói bay. It took us a long time until we found a Minke Whale, it surfaced 2 times and went for a deeper dive. We  thought we lost his track. But when he came up  again and surfaced 2 times. But unfortunately he was really elusive and swam so fast that we lost him. We headed on and tried to find another one but we weren’t lucky so we went back to the harbour. We saw a lot of Arctic Terns and Puffins out on the bay.
