CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: We set sail this morning with a beautiful rainbow across the bay. Hoping to find some wildlife at the end of the rainbow we went in that direction, keeping our eyes all around. We spotted the small blow of a minke whale, but this elusive whale did not surface again. On the radio, rumors came of something bigger further out and when we reached the area, two big blows appeared! Two humpback whales were feeding, lifting their massive fluke out of the water each time. Then, smaller dorsal fins popped up. A pod of 3 white-beaked dolphins was also feeding in the same area! We enjoyed their company before eventually having to say goodbye. With a last gracious fluke dive, we turned around and headed back to the harbour. On the way, we even spotted a traveling pod of 4 harbour porpoises! What a great start of the day!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: As we set sail this afternoon we had a bit of wind and overcast skies, so we layered up and set sail! Just as we were leaving the harbor, we had 2 harbor porpoises surface alongside us. These individuals gave us two surface sequences before continuing on with their day and so we continued as well. A bit farther out into the bay we spotted the blow of 1 humpback whale! This individual gave us a fluke dive as we approached and then showed off their stuff by breaching! We had at least 10-12 breaches followed by pectoral slapping! This energetic humpback then breached again! After a wonderful viewing it was time to wave our whale goodbye and headed back to port with many smiles on our faces.
