Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The sea conditions were just as good as they had been this morning and it was even warmer with less wind. Because we had not seen anything on one of our best areas this morning we decided to try something else and sailed further out on the bay than we usually do. The sea was still so flat that we could have easily been able to spot whales coming up for air even though they were very far away. We were so dedicated to find animals that we searched for 4.5 hours but unfortunately that was not enough today. The only animlas we could enjoy were small flocks of different species of sea birds flying by. All of our passengers received complimentary tickets so they can come on another tour with us sometime within two years.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The sea conditions were great this morning so our sailing out on the bay was soft with good visibility. The chances of spotting whales are of course greater when the sea is so flat because than it is so much easier for us to spot them from a great distance.  We went to an area where we often get the best sightings and scanned all around us hoping to spot whales. We saw few small flocks of seabirds sitting on the water surface or flying calmly around but none seemed to be actively feeding. When looking for whales we often follow feeding birds because they are a good sign that there might be a lot of fish and where there is a lot of fish the chances of spotting whales are higher. Unfortunately the birds were the only animals we could enjoy on this tour. All of our passengers got complimentary tickets before we got on land that they can use to go on another tour with us and hopefully they will be luckier and get to enjoy these amazing animals of the sea.
