Status tour 1pm: RUNNING FROM ANOTHER HARBOUR
We will be sailing out from Keflavík, as the conditions seem to be better there then they are in Reykjavík. Depending on conditions, we will either return to Reykjavík with the boat or drive guests back by bus. This will result in a slightly longer tour, or between 4-5 hrs and could impact other tours.

Report from Eldey: After our unsuccessful morning tour we sailed out from Keflavik again with fresh hopes to find cetaceans. If we do not find anything in the morning, it does not mean that there is no chance to see something in the afternoon. We went to different areas than in the morning and also sailed all the way back to Reykjavik to cover a larger area to look for cetaceas. Unfortunately, our plan did not work out und also our second tour was fruitless. As always in these cases, we handed out complimentary tickets to everyone that are valid for another free whale watching tour with us within the next two years - better luck next time!

Report from Eldey: Today we set out of Keflavik Harbour, as it was a little bit rougher out there today. There were a few white caps on the waters surface making it rather difficult to spot cetaceans. However, there was quite a lot of bird life out there today, including a few northern gannets and glaucous gulls. We were also spoilt with a rather beautiful run rise over the cone shaped mountain kelir. After a good time searching unfortunately we were unable to spot anything this time, and had to head back to harbour. Due to this complimentary tickets were offered to all of our passengers allowing them to come on another one of our tours for free.
