Status: RUNNING

We are sailing out from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik. It is a beautiful day with all this new snow. The forecsast predicts a little wind from the north but there could be some underwave so there will be movement on the boat.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey and Hafsúlan: February is proving to be very busy,  luckily the weather could not be better the last couple of days. Today in particular was stunning, with the fresh layer of snow that fell overnight. There was a rolling swell out in the bay, which caused one or two green faces but as the sun was shining everyone liked to be outside and being outside does help to prevent it. Hafsúlan went really far offshore to the south and was lucky enough to spot a minke whale that we could follow for a time under the surface of the water so that when it surfaced again everyone got a great look at it and again surfaced close behind the boat also. We called the other whale watching boats as they were not having the best successful but enjoyed a quick glance of a pod of about 3 harbour porpoises. Unfortunatly the minke whale was not spotted again when the other boats arrived so the passengers on the vessel Eldey recieved complimentary tickets in the hope they will be the lucky ones next time.
