CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: We set sail, and Faxaflói was looking gorgeous, like a perfect summer day with barely any wind. We made our way out, and just as we were getting close to Hafnarfjordur, we spotted a minke whale! These guys are super sneaky, and this one was no different—we only saw it a couple of times before it disappeared. But on the way back to Reykjavik, we lucked out and found a pod of about 20 white-beaked dolphins, and some of them were even jumping! By the end of the trip, everyone was stoked.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey. The sea and the wind had settled even more since the morning and so excitedly we set out to sea. About 40 minutes in we spotted a small pod of about 5 white-beaked dolphins. They were swimming near us calmly and we stayed with them for some time, until some big splashes in the distance caught our eye. We went to investigate further and it appeared to be a massive pod of about 30 dolphins! They were extremely active and jumping around a lot all around us. At some point, 6 dolphins were jumping at the same time! We spent a long time with this pod, totally entranced by the amazing display. To top it all off, it started to snow ever so gently, adding to the amazing atmosphere of the afternoon. before we knew it, it was time to say goodbye to this pod and head back towards Reykjavik still blown away by nature´s amazing display.
