Tour at 14:00
Report from Elding: We sailed out in quite a windy weather and the sea was quite rough. We stopped at Akurey first and we saw a lot of puffins on the island and also flying around. After a while we headed further out to the area where Hafsúlan had seen the White Beaked Dolphins earlier but unfortunately we could not spot them. We saw a Minke Whale surfacing once but unfortunately it didn't come up again. The weather was rather bad so we headed back to land. We gave the passengers complimentary tickets so they can come back for a tour within 2 years.

Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed out in quite a rough sea again. We stopped at Lundey first and we managed to see a lot of puffins on the island and also flying around. We also saw some Eider Ducks, Guillemots, Kittiwakes and other sea birds that are also breeding on Lundey. After a while we headed further out to the area where we have seen the White Beaked Dolphins earlier but unfortunately we could not spot them again. After 2 hours of searching we had to head back to Reykjavík. We gave the passengers complimentary tickets so they can come back for a tour within 2 years.

Tour at 9:00: Report from Hafsúlan. We sailed out and it was quite windy. We started by going to Lundey and take a look at all the puffins that are breeding there. Then we sailed out and after some time we saw White-beaked Dolphins. This was a small pod, 3-5 individuals but we only saw them surface a few times. Then we spotted a Minke Whale close to us but it was heading for a deep dive. We waited for a little while but unfortunately it didn't surface again. We had to start heading back as time was running away from us. But as we got closer to Reykjavík we spotted some more White-beaked Dolphins. This was a pod of 10-15 Dolphins. A flock of Arctic Terns was flying above the pod and picking up what was left over from their hunting. This flock showed us where the pod was at all time and we stayed with it for a while before heading back. A good tour in spite of pretty rough weather.
