CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00

Report from Hafsula: this morning we sailed out of Reykjavik in nice, calm weather and even an occasional ray of sun. Soon after leaving the harbor we saw a handful of puffins, good sign that the summer is slowly approaching. But of course we sailed out in search of whales and soon after the captain spotted the first one, a minke whale. However, the whale was not spotted again so we kept sailing ahead. That was a good choice because soon we saw a blow! Humpback whale was busy feeding close by and we had a few very close looks as the busy whale did not seem to be bother by us. In fact once the whale came up just on our bow, a few meters from some lucky passengers.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00

Report from Elding: this afternoon we sailed out with some sun above us. We headed to the area where we been lucky this morning. Indeed, the humpback whale was soon spotted. The whale was busy feeding, coming to the surface very often and not too far from the boat. We were able to spend some time with the animal and admire this gentle giant.

Report from Hafúlan: The afternoon started sailing out with sunny skies and good sea conditions. We headed back to the area where we managed to find a humpback whale during the morning tour. The humpback whale was soon spotted!! It was busy feeding in the same area and resurfaced close by every so often!! We spent some time there but then decided to continue searching for more wildlife! After a short ride we found a minke whale!!  We were able to spot it for 2 diving sequences before diving down and disappearing! We happily sailed back to the harbour after a good afternoon!
