Report from Eldey: Cold is beautiful in Iceland! Faxaflói was wearing its finest snow dress this afternoon for us to enjoy it. Smooth sailings towards another exciting winter adventure. The bay was exceptional, both in sea state conditions and in visibility. Some swell was felt at some point but thanks to the expertice of our captain it felt like nothing. This good omens made us sharpen our eyes as we were searching the bay far and wide. Unfortunately, even with the perfect conditions of the ocean we didn't manage to spot any of the cetaceans that we love. For this reason a free complementary ticket was offered to everybody that was willing to join us in a new adveture with Elding!

Bird species seen today include: Black-backed gull, black-headed gull, glaucous gull, eider duck, great cormorant

We are sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavík today. There could always be some movement out on the bay, so if your are prone to sea sickness we have sea sickness tablets available at our ticket office. Make sure to dress warmly and make use of our warm overalls as it is always colder on sea than on land. For more information contact us by email elding@elding.is or by phone +354 519 5000.
