Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: Due to the bad sea conditions that the Faxa bay was experiencing this past night (a fiery storm was hitting it badly during almost all night) we were expecting some waves and swell. We decided to try from Hafnarfjordur, and for almost 3 hours we searched for wildlife without success. It was quite disappointing, since the spotting conditions were amazing: there was not a single whitecap and the cloud cover guaranteed a good contrast between the animals and the water. Either way, we gave to our passengers some complimentary tickets that they would be able to use for any other whale watching trip with us during the next 2 years!

Birds seen on todays tour: northern fulmar, kittiwake, glacous gull, lesser black-backed gull, cormorant, common guillemot and eider duck.

Status: RUNNING

We are sailing from Hafnarfjörður Harbour today. A bus will be ready and waiting for passengers at our ticket office in the Old Harbour in Reykjavík and drive off to HAFNARFJÖRDUR at the scheduled departure time. This will result in a slightly longer tour or around 4 - 5 hrs, and may therefor impact COMBO tours. If you are sensitive to motion sickness we offer preventative tablets in the ticket office, free of charge! On board there are heated indoor areas but we also have overalls to keep you warm out on deck. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact our ticket office at elding@elding.is or +354 519 5000.
