CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: With cloudy skies and very calm seas, we set sail looking for our beloved cetaceans in the bay. Just a few minutes after we left the harbour, we spotted our first one: a lone minke whale swimming next to Engey island, in very shallow waters! We were able to keep track of it for a while but sometimes it was so close to the island and the reef that we couldn't follow. After seeing this nice minke for a bit, we continued on with our search. After a search around the islands, we found a humpback whale! It was our good friend Banana again! They were still hanging out very close to land just outside the harbour. It was feeding at first but then started logging. They went for a deeper dive and came back up right after for a lunge feed! After multiple surface sequences and Banana started logging at the surface, maybe a post breakfast snooze. So we left them to their sweet dreams and head back to port. What a nice start to the day!
