Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: It truly was worth going out today just for the scenery. As we left the old harbour, we sailed on flat seas out towards the islands where the humpback whale Viðey has been staying. While our search for him was unsuccessful, we found a pod of 8 white-beaked dolphins not far out and could stay and enjoy them for more than half an hour. Especially watching the 3 young calfs come up to the water surface in their still clumbsy way was very amusing. After a while, however, they started to avoid us so we understood the sign and left them alone. We sailed close to along the Snæfellsness Peninsula in search of some more wildlife, finally returning back to the small islands just to have one final look for the humpback. Eventhough we didn't find him still, it would have been hard to keep our eyes on only him as the sunset was just astonishing. Reflecting a pinkish-red light on the water.
