Tour at 13:00 Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed out from Hafnafjörður today as the wind was coming from the South East so we got a lot of protection from the land. We had very smooth sailing for the first half of the tour as we were heading with the swell and wind however, it did get colder and we could really feel the wind on the way back. On the way back it was beautiful with rainbows and teh sun shining on Reykjavik which was lit up by the low winter sun, even Hallgrímskirkja (the church in the middle of reykjavik) and Perlan (the pearl ) was standing proud on the hills in the sun. We did see a small pod of Harbour Porpoises which surfaced many times as we headed out of the harbour and many birds too, as named below, but unfortunately no whale or dolphins. So, we gave our passengers complimentary tickets and hopefully they will come again with more luck.
Birds seen on today´s tour include; Eider Ducks, Red Breasted Mergansers, Cormorants, Shags, Gloucous Gulls, Kittiwakes, Razorbills, Fulmars, Gannets and Little Auks
