✔ CLASSIC WHALE TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 09:00
Report from Elding: It was very nice conditions to start the tour on this morning whale watching tour. About 5m/s winds from the southeast which is supposed to be increasing in strength as the day developed. We felt the cold a little more on the way home so most headed inside and got a nice warm drink. We were very lucky today and saw two humpback whales and a very quick surface from a minke whale. One of the humpbacks did a couple of tail slaps and few nice high flukes as they went down. It even surfaced just 20meters from us at one point so that we could see the white pectoral fins. It was at first challenging to get close to these individuals but in the end it was a very nice tour.

✔ CLASSIC WHALE TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 13:00
Report from Elding: It was a lot calmer than expected on this tour and we sailed out in quite nice conditions, maybe a little windy on the way home. This tour was full of splashes, first from a pod of perhaps 3-4 white-beaked dolphins but they were travelling fast north and we wanted to go south to find the whales so we didn’t get that close. Then we saw a huge blow from a humpback whale, it surfaced many times and then went for a long dive. Whilst we were waiting for this individual we saw huge splashes, with the binoculars we could see it was another humpback whale that was breaching (jumping out of the water), so exciting. Off we went and got to see a few more breaches as we got closer. Once within 200m however the whale stopped and went for a long dive. We watched for the humpback to surface again but in the mean time we spotted a minke whale about 400m away, we saw maybe 2 minke whales on this tour but our main attention was on the humpbacks. We saw the humpback surface again and got a nice picture of the fluke as it dove for another long long long dive. We then got distracted by 4 white-beaked dolphins and saw them surfing the swells. We enjoyed their company for a while and then went looking for the humpbacks again. We saw a few more surfaces from them and head home with big smiles on our faces.
