Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan and Elding: We sailed once again from Reykjavík after a successful morning tour, the weather was still very good though the water was no longer completely still. As we had a very good idea of where to look for some whales we sailed straight to where we thought they would be. But we were surprised, instead of the same whales waiting for us we were greeted by several pods of White-Beaked Dolphins that were feeding in the area. This was a nice surprise as we haven´t seen many dolphins lately and to see two groups was excellent. They were even swimming under the boat and jumping out of the water! We had to sail back to Reykjavík after a while as we had sailed very far to reach the dolphins but they were worth it.

Report from Hafsúlan: The weather was incredible as we sailed from Reykjavík this morning, the sun was shining and the sea was almost still. After a short while sailing we came across a small pod of Harbour Porpoises, though as usual the porpoises only stayed around for a few minutes before disappearing so we continued on. As the weather was so good we could see for miles around and when we spotted blows miles in the distance we were very grateful for the good weather. We found the source of the blows and it turned out to be Humpback Whales! There were two together plus a third in the distance, they were all lifting their flukes and one even gave us the pleasure of lunge feeding beside the boat! We also caught a glimpse of some White-Beaked Dolphins as they passed through the area. It was a triple species day and it was an excellent tour.
