    CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Hafsúla: We started our tour in time, very happy for the sunny and lovely weather, despite the chilly air. Light wind, clear sky and some white caps was the background of our tour. However, we could already spot some blows in the distance. When we got closer we just saw 1 minke whale, a bit tricky and quite fast but most of the passengers managed to see it from the bow. And then we saw again another pair of blows. This time we saw 1 humpback whale, busy traveling and feeding. We could admire their body and see the small dorsal fin compared to the huge body. Even if it was kinda elusive we waited longer to see it again and we made it! After a while, we moved on another area and we met another individual of humpback whale and this time we could see a couple of fluke dives pretty close to us. Very nice!

    CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: This afternoon the wonderful weather continued and the wind slightly dropped as well. There was still a little bit of chop and a mini splash-zone at the front of the boat. After an hour of sailing we spotted a blow in the distance and tried to get closer to investigate. This was a humpback whale but quite a tricky one, often disappearing into the sun-glare. We tried our best but eventually turned and headed further into the bay to find a new individual or species. Not long after, we spotted a pec-slapping humpback whale! We caught up with it but it turned a bit camera shy. We stayed with this whale a bit and it came up a few times close to us and pec slapping again!  We watched this individual and another one that was a little further until time ran out and we headed back to the harbour.
