Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: It was a cold crisp day as we sailed out, so we warmed up with hot chocolates. It was a very calm sea again and barely any wind. We had a lucky day again and found a minke whale very close to the harbour. in classic minke fashion it changed direction a lot but still was always very visible to us. We decided to leave it in peace after enjoying it for a few moments and very quickly spotted a humpback whale! It seems to be the same one that has been staying in the bay however it is very stingy with its fluke. As we were waiting for it to resurface we also spotted 5 harbour porpoises that were feeding by a flock of birds. Then the humpback whale came up right in the flock of birds in a dramatic fashion. We headed further into the bay to see if we could spot another individual or species and saw one more small pod of 3 porpoises before headed back to harbour. On our way back we made another pitstop and saw the fluke of the humpback whale infront of a golden Reykjavik.
