Report from Eldey: Faithful to the weather forecast, the bay roughed us up quite a bit this morning ! There was a strong and cold wind battling us for the whole tour, and the swell took its due among few unlucky sea sick passengers. But that did not prevent most of our passengers to bravely stay outside, looking for whales in the midst of the waves and the white caps surrounding us. We heard a couple of time of cetaceans from another whale watching boat, but every time we searched the area we were unsuccessful. We spotted a blow 3-4 times in the distance, but after it disappeared we could not find it again. Finally, on our way back a minke whale surfaced few times 30-40 m away from our boat but it never surfaced again after going for a deep dive. Sad summary for our morning trip, as no nice whales were to be shown to our passengers, we offered complimentary tickets for everybody willing to take another shot with us in the next 2 years. Good luck for your next adventure guys !
