CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: It was drizzling this morning but nonetheless we were excited about a day with calm seas and wind ahead. We went straight out into the bay to hopefully catch a glimpse of yesterday's whales. Not too long into our tour, we spotted our first blows! When we arrived at the area, we counted at least 6 humpback whales, but more were probably around in the area! for a while we stuck with a pair that was going around the area frantically, often making loud trumpeting sounds, announcing their return to the surface. We had an amazing time this morning, surrounded by so many whales! We even spotted 2 minke whales as well, as a little cherry on top.

Report from Hafsulan: We went out with light rain but calm sea. The rain thankfully stopped after 1/3 of the tour, so it was more enjoyable to be outside. We headed back to the same spot of the morning tour, on the way there we saw 2 pods of each 3 harbor porpoises. As we arrived in the area from the morning the 7 humpback whales were still there ! *-* So at one point we were surrounded by humpback whales, it didn't matter in which direction we were looking, we always saw 1 or more humpback whale(s) in the same direction. :) Northern Gannets, Northern Fulmars and many more bird species joined this feeding ground. There was one young humpback whale around who came up very close underneath our boat, turned around again facing us and then dove down. It was an amazing tour ! Guests and crew very super happy. :)
