CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: We sailed out and were able to watch the sun rise about Reykjavik. It was predicted to be a rainy tour but instead we got sunshine and pink clouds. On the way out we got a glimpse of 2 harbour porpoises and as we got further into the bay 6 white beaked dolphins appeared next to us! They came very close and there was even one jumping in the distance. After a few good glimpses they vanished just as quickly as they arrived. Then, we saw a blow in the distance. And again! We went to investigate but it seemed this individual did not want to be found. As we turned and moved on the sun was now fully out from behind some clouds. It was illuminating lots of birds as well as lots of dolphin blows. All around our front were dolphins, hard to count but roughly 15 individuals. Some jumping, some porpoising and some just swimming. We enjoyed the spectacle and then headed back to harbour, seeing 6 more dolphins on the way back.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: It was sunny and pleasant this afternoon specially with the wind in our back during the way out. We went were we stopped previous tour and found the 15 white-beaked dolphins again. They were feeding but came a few times bow riding and swimming close of us. It always great to see those black and white dolphins smoothly swimming under the surface. We stayed a while an saw a few jumps, some younglings getting a bit curious. Then we decided to go search something bigger further south. We saw a blow not very far and got closer. It was a humpback whale. The animal was probably feeding because going for deep dives showing us its dark fluke, and there was many birds around. The dives were not long, around 5-7 minutes. We left after a last dive and took the direction of the harbour under a pleasant sun.
