CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: We sailed out today into the beautiful Faxa flói on a very calm sea surrounded by snow capped moutains and sunshine. After about an hour of sailing we got to a good spot and started seeing blows of minke whales. We also noticed some smaller blows and saw a pod of 6 white beaked dolphins. Then another pod and more jumping in the distance. We decided to stay in this area and saw roughly 10 minke whales in total and then a much larger blow too. We followed this one and to our delight it was a humpback whale! We didnt recognise its fluke so were very excited to see it was a new visitor! As we approached it was peduncle throwing and then went for a deep dive. It stayed down for much longer than expected but then came back up with a full breach! What a day! After sharing a few more moments together we headed back to harbour.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: What a day we had today! We set off in sunshine again and even calmer waters than the morning. We decided to try out luck in the same location as the morning as there was so much life there. We sailed about an hour and saw white beaked dolphins around us. There were 2-3 pods around us. One of which came very close to the boat. We continued seeing dolphins all around us and in the end must have seen about 20. There was a guest appearance from the odd minke whale, however they were busy feeding. We saw 2 more later in the tour. Then a big blow behind us! We turned the boat around and saw a humpack whale! It immediatly went for a fluke dive and then seemed to have dissapeared. But our luck was still on our side and we saw 2 more blows a bit further from us. We headed in that direction and found our all time faves Mariupol and Neila the humpback whales. They were in a curious mood and came extremly close to our boat, so close even that you could feel their blow on your face! We stayed a little as it was truly magical.
