CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: We started this tour under some rain and an overcast sky but a sea condition that was actually good for whale watching! After an hour sailing into the bay, we spotted our first whale, 1 minke whale, quite elusive as it was probably busy finding some food. After a few minutes in the area, we decided to keep going searching further into the bay. As we sailed on we spotted some white beaked dolphins! It was a small pod of only two individuals also busy with feeding. After we saw them a few times we continued on and saw 3 more minke whales. One was lunge feeding and the others surfaced very close to the boat. I spotted a larger pod of white beaked dolphins of 5-7 individuals, that were also feeding but came much closer to the boat than the other pod. Eventually we ran out of time and headed back seeing 2 more minkes on the way home.
