✔ CLASSIC WHALE TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 09:00

✔ CLASSIC PUFFIN TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 10:00

✔ PREMIUM WHALE TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 10:00

Report from Þruma: Today conditions were similar to yesterday, a very calm sea, no wind and clouds but no rain. Excellent conditions for whale watching. We found a minke whale and a humpback whale quite close to the harbour. If the we quickly lost the minke, we could stay with the humpback during a long time with many fluke dives. The animal was probably feeding. We went further out and found a third specie, a pod of white beaked dolphins. There were not very friendly, avoiding our boat, maybe because they had a little one. We let them alone and came back to Reykjavik. During the way back we found 4 harbour porpoises. All the common species of the bay were found during this tour !

✔ CLASSIC WHALE TOUR ON SCHEDULE 13:00

Report from Eldey: Unbelievable conditions that lasted the entire day. The ocean was so calm that it resembled a pond, with a grey hue reflecting the overcast sky. It was very easy to spot cetaceans today and on our way out, the view of two humpback whales came into view. The whales were separated by a kilometre or so, so we first checked out the closer individual before making a move to the other. Both whales behaviour mirrored the surroundings as they swam very calmly, spending a great deal of time at the surface and allowed for a close inspection. The pectoral fins, tubercles on the head and fluke were all noticeable for the passengers to observe. The whales lifted their flukes high for dives which was met by 'oooo's' and 'ahhhh's' from our guests. In total, we watched four humpbacks exhibit the same relaxed behaviours, spending the majority of the tour watching whales. Couldn't have asked for much better.

✔ PREMIUM WHALE TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 14:00

Report from Þruma: Very similar conditions than this morning, calm and a ocean like a lake, with a silver colour making easy to spot the black back of the cetaceans. We first had a short stop at Engey to observe the atlantic puffins. Then we went out and found very quickly a humpback whale. It was fluke diving so we could see that it was not the same than this morning. We stayed with it a long time observing how it was surfacing, diving and coming quite close of the boat sometimes. After a while we headed further out. We found a second humpback whale that was resting. The animal was almost not moving so we decide to go find some more awake animal. We went more south and found a pod of white beaked dolphins. Like this morning there were not in a very friendly mood but we could still have a nice sighting. It was time to go but it's nice to see the bay full of life.
