  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 9:00, 13:00

Today's Whale Watching tours from Reykjavík are on schedule! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: We sailed out with quite some clouds and a decent breeze but calm seas and an orange sunrise poking through the gaps. We rather quickly ran into 2 humpback whales, close to Viðey. We had a good time with Banana and their friend as they went on frequent feeding dives, often with their flukes nice and high! They were busy travelling back and forth feeding and so we stuck with them for quite a while. We even saw one of them playfully roll on their side a couple times! Eventually, we sailed out deeper into the bay, exploring these waters for some more wildlife. Sadly, nothing else was there so we decided on another stop with the whales from before. This time, with a grey seal around!

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00

Report from Eldey: We went out in good weather and sea conditions. It was sunny and just a little cold. Northern Gannets were flying around Viðey and also a grey seal was present, lifting its head out of the water to check us out. Of course we also made sure our passengers got to see whales. We found 2 humpback whales, one of them being "Banana". A well known individual and here since a few months now. They both were changing directions quite often, probably because they were feeding, but they also showed us multiple times their beautiful flukes ! We stayed with them for a while, but as always, all good things must come to an end, so we had to head back to the harbor.
