We are sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today. There is little to no wind and warm, at least warm for November in Iceland, but there could be some movement on the boat out on Faxabay

Report from Eldey:It was a beautiful sunny day, the wind was not too strong and the sea wonderfully calm. It was a fantastic day to be out on the water! It took us some time to find our fist cetacean as the sea was spattered with a few white caps. Nevertheless, a small pod of 3 white-beaked dolphin were out on top form. They milled around and even leaped out of the water a few times allowing us a lovely clear view of their patterned bodies. These dolphins began to be a bit elusive so we decided to leave them and head towards a large flock of feeding seabirds, in hope of finding some other individuals and we were fortunate enough to find another pod of 3 white-beaked dolphins. Which we enjoyed until we had to head back to harbour. The sun had begun its slow decent and cast the water in the most beautiful orange light, a photographers dream, especially as it glinted off the snow-capped mountains.

Report from Eldey: Hoping to find the two humpback whales again that we got a brief look at yesterday or the fun white.beaked dolphins, we sailed out on this beautiful winter day. It was freezing cold as we enjoyed the sun slowly rising above the horizon and the clouds. The sea conditions were pretty calm making this one of the nicest days we have had in a too long time. We searched the bay for three hours but apart from some flocks of birds that just seemed to wake up from their beauty sleep, we did not see any wildlife today. Therefore, we handed out complimentary tickets to everyone to have another chance to see the "our" whales and dolphins that did not show themselves to us today.

Bird species seen on today's tours include: greater black-backed gull, Iceland gull, glaucous gull, cormorant, eider duck, red-necked phalaropes, northern gannet, common guillemot, razor bill.
