- CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 9:00, 13:00
All whale watching tours are on schedule today from Reykjavík! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!
CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00
Report from Eldey: We sailed out with light rain and we had to sail for a bit before we found 2 humpback whales. It was Banana and Split. They were surfacing a lot and also coming very close to the boat. During watching them a rainbow appeared and we could see both ends. After a while we left them, to give them some space and sailed through one of the ends of the rainbow. :) Before we went back to the harbor we stopped by the whales again to say goodbye. And Split did 2 peduncle throws, which was really cool ! As always, all good things must come to an end, so we sailed back to the harbor, with happy guests and happy crew.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00
Report from Eldey: We went face first into a strong wind and some hail as we sailed out, but luckily the sea was still mostly flat as we searched between the islands for whales. It took a bit of looking around but then we found our all time favorite duo of humpback whales Banana and Split again. At almost the same time, the sun started to peak through the clouds while the precipitation settled and a rainbow lit up the sky! With whales one side and a rainbow the other, we cruised around, following them on their journey. We saw many great fluke dives and a few surprise surfaces really close! After having soaked all this in, we went to explore the area a bit more and one last quick stop with these whales later we decided to return to the harbour. This concluded another great day at sea!
