Tour at 13:00

The second tour today was quite similar to the morning tour. Perfect weather, sunny and calm sea. After sailing for some time we spotted the first Minke Whale, and soon after that, another one. They were quite elusive, so we headed further out. And we found a very good area. On one spot we were surrounded by Minke Whales, we were guessing there were about 6 to 7 animals all around us. We also spotted some Harbour Porpoises.  And again we ended our tour by visiting the Puffin island Akurey. Fantastic tour, many whales and many birds.

Tour at 9:00

Again the weather was perfect, flat sea and very sunny. We headed out offshore for about 40 minutes and saw a flock of feeding birds on the horizon. As we got closer we could see a Minke Whale surfacing under the birds but is soon disappeared when we got too close. So we headed a bit further offshore and came across another Minke but again the Minke was being quite difficult so we headed a bit further, then....... we were surrounded by Minkes and Harbour Porpoises. Surfacing everywhere and a couple of times less than 100 meters from the boat. We also saw a lot of birds, Gannets, Arctic Skua, Great Skua, Arctic Terns, Gulls, Fulmars, Kittiwakes, Puffins, Guillemots. We ended the tour by visiting Akurey one of the Puffin Islands and saw thousands of Puffins.
