Tour at 13:00

Again we had a very nice tour and excellent weather. Sooner than expected, quite close to the harbour, we spotted three dolphins and some harbour porpoises. Then we had to spend some time searching until we spotted a really nice minke whale. While we stayed with it a second animal appeared just 100 meters away from the boat. It behaved a bit strangely for a minke whale and when it went down for a deep dive we could see that we had a humpback whale!!! What a surprise! It came up again to breathe but then it disappeared! We waited for it but didn't see it again. But then another minke whale surfaced really close to the boat.

Tour 9:00

Hafsúla Excellent tour this morning for us. We went out with a warm sunny day, good visibility and stunning lanscape to see from the boat on the way to the whale-watching ground. Many sightings as well. We had frist a couple of sightings of harbour porpoises, which were amazing today. They were from 6 to 10 animals fast surfacing and coming close to us, we could see them rarely close. Then we had 3 sightings of large pods of white-beaked dolphins, each group with an average of 6 animals and then on the way back at least 5 Minke whales, surfacing all around us, very nice to seee their blows raising up from the surface.

Elding Super weather today and just perfect for a whale watching tour! It was so easy to watch the whales and to follow them when they came up to the surface to breathe, it was really a lot of fun! Soon after departure we had our first sighting, a minke whale. Then some harbour porpoises appeared on the scene after a little while and suddenly a group of maybe six or seven white-beaked dolphins with a calf showed up. The dolphins didn't come very close to the boat - surely because of the calf, but this didn't matter really. We could still enjoy them a lot as they stayed at a distance of approximately 150 meters for some while. At the end of the tour we spotted some more surfacing minke whales. This was one of our best tours of the season so far!
