✔ CLASSIC WHALE TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 09:00
Report from Elding : The sea was very quiet this morning. If the sky was covered by clouds, the wind was weak so it was very pleasant to be outside. The fog was covering the mountains but the visibility still nice. Only 5 minutes after we left the harbour we saw a minke whale ! The animal did not surface anymore but it was a good sign, we saw probably 5-6 different minke whales during this tour. We were looking at minke whales trying to get closer but still looking further away to find something else when the captain found a humpback whale. A pod of 6-7 white beaked dolphins came with us to see the humpback, sometimes very close of our boat, bow riding and then playing around the whale. We could admire this amazing animal surface from a few meters. What a nice experience !

✔ PREMIUM WHALE AND PUFFIN TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 10:00
Conditions were incredibly still at sea, very little wind and a calm ocean welcoming us into the bay this morning. The sky was full of cloud which helped with spotting as there was no sun glare on the water. We headed into our main searching locations with regular stoppages due to a number of minke whale sightings. The small, slender whales were easy to view as they slowly cruised through the flat sea. We received word that there were more cetacean sightings further afield. A pod of 5-8 white beaked dolphins were spotted sleepily passing by, with the large dorsal fins of the biggest individuals easily distinguished. As we slowly approached, the pod took a dive, then surfaced right next to our boat. Their inquisitive nature brought them in for a closer inspection, playing by the bow and darting from side to side. Lastly, we encountered a humpback whale. The whale came extremely close to our small boat, showcasing its tremendous size. The whale carefully completed a tight circle around us, from a 10m distance, surfacing regularly. Once the whale had checked us out they continued on their way, lifting the fluke as they took a dive.

Report from Elding : The conditions were similar to this morning, a calm sea and a calm sky with the sun was appearing during the tour. We headed directly to the area where we saw the humpback this morning. We looked for a while and we found 3 different minke whales. The surface of the ocean was colour silver so it was easy to spot the black back and dorsal fin of the animals and very fascinating to see them surfacing. After a long search we finally found the humpback whale that was still hanging and playing with a pod of 6-8 white beaked dolphins. We admire a nice moment with those joyful cetaceans and came back to Reykjavik, enjoying the sun.
