Report from Eldey: Wow it was windy today! The strong but pleasantly warm wind blowing from the south convinced us to stick a little closer to the Reykjanes peninsula than usual so we didn´t get battered by waves, and doing so also allowed us to avoid the rain occurring in the middle if the bay. Despite this area being a common spot to find whales and dolphins however we did not see them, only the northern fulmers struggling to glide overhead flew with us the entire way. We gave out complimentary tickets this trip so passengers can come back, hopefully in friendlier Icelandic weather.

Bird species encountered today include:
Northern fulmer, northern gannet, black guillemot, black legged kittiwake, Iceland gull, common eider
