CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: We sailed this afternoon after a windy morning, the sea had calmed down a bit with just a bit of swell. We started the trip pretty well, as just 10 minutes after leaving the harbour we spotted 2 minke whales swimming by Engey! The minkes seemed to be in a good mood, passing close to our boat so we could take a good look at them. Then we decided to sail out into the bay, and after 40 minutes of sailin,g we heard the news! Two humpback whales were feeding close by! We rushed to the action and when we arrived, we had an amazing encounter with the 2 whales circling while feeding, and occasionally blowing some bubbles! A great way to end our trip, as time was running out and we needed to go back to the harbour!

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 17:00
Report from Eldey: we set out to moderate seas, cloudy skies, some wind and a drop of rain here and there. First we encountered a lone, shy white-beaked dolphin, second another lone dolphin which was a lot more active and came towards us frantically jumping out the water. Our third encounter was no less than 3 humpback whales (one we could identify as the whale Bubbles), side by side! It did take us a while to find these animals but what a reward this encounter was! We stayed with them for some time got to see many flukes go high up in the air as they were travelling the area, in search of food. Finally, with the sun setting behind us we headed back to the harbour, happy that we did not give up hope in our search for whales this evening!
