Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed out from Hafnafjörður (town of the elves) into better sea conditions, making the tour as smooth and comfortable as possible. We sailed close to the coast along the Reykjanes Peninsula. The first cetaceans we saw were White-beaked Dolphins, at least 7-12 of them surfing the swell and very busy chasing herring by the looks of it, a favourite fish the dolphins love to eat. After a few minutes of enjoying the dolphins they dove and vanished from the area. We went backwards and forwards to search the area extensively in the hope of finding them again but no luck. On the way home we enjoyed some music and watched the beautiful sunset. Absolutely stunning colours to end the tour on. Of course we always wish to see more but the dolphins are a lot of fun and always put a smile on your face. There was a quick glimpse of a couple of Harbour Porpoises but they are always quite shy and often don´t stick around for very long. It was a lovely tour nonetheless.
