Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: Our tour was a pretty windy adventure today but luckily it was not as bumpy as we expected. We sailed towards the south along the coast off Haverford looking for our beloved cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises). After a good hour of sailing a white-beaked dolphin was suddenly leaping in front of out boat. Some seconds later we had two of them surfing next to us towards the bow. Then we saw them another time behind the boat before they disappeared. We looked for a while and also got the help from another whale watching boat that we had informed about the dolphins. However, the dolphins were nowhere to be seen. So we kept searching for something else and a bit later came across a seal! It popped up a few times on our side as we passed by and then also vanished in the waves. We did not get a close enough look to determine the species but it most likely was a Harbour, maybe a grey seal. Unfortunately, this was the last encounter of the tour, and since we always want to show our passengers more than dolphins for such a short time, we offered everyone onboard complimentary tickets. These tickets allow them to come on another tour for free within the next two years! Don't give up!
