CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00
Report from Eldey: We started the week with a beautiful sunny day. The sea conditions were calm and perfect for sailing, and with our beloved passengers on board, we set course north into Faxaflói Bay. Along the journey, we were greeted by puffins resting on the water and flying but also other seabirds flying above us. At the beginning of the tour, we were fortunate to spot a minke whale, int he same area with a couple of harbor porpoises. Both species appeared briefly, giving us a glimpse before disappearing again beneath the surface. A short encounter, but still a special moment to start the trip. We continued on with hope. We sailed further, we tried again, scanning the sea from every angle. Time passed, and although the conditions remained beautiful, the whales didn't appear. On our way back, we made one last effort, searching once more close to the Engey and Videy islands, but nothing over there. As we always want to give our passengers the best possible experience, we offered complimentary tickets so they can join us again.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00
Report from Eldey: We went out in beautiful weather, the sun was shining and the sea was calm. The scenery looked breathtaking and a fresh after winter breeze was swirling around our noses. We tried our best and covered most of Faxafloi Bay, but we couldn't find a whale or dolphin. Fortunately we saw Puffins, Northern Fulmars and Northern Gannets which were flying around our boat. Our lovely guests still enjoyed the tour and of course got a complimentary ticket, to try and see some marine life the next time they come on a tour with us. :)
