CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Hafsulan: We set off under a lot of clouds and a little bit of rain too. The sea was very calm though and there was great visibility all the way to Snæfellsjökull meaning it was much easier to spot the cetaceans. Not too long into the tour we spotted our first blows on our left hand side. As we got closer we realised these blows came from multiple individuals. In total there were 3 humpback whales! As we got closer 2 of them breached out of the water! This was so cool to see. Then one of these individuals came right up to the boat checking us out from the left and the right. After this we went to see the 3rd whale. This one was resting. It was moving very slowly and gracefully through the water. As we moved away from this another humpback whale breached twice much closer to the boat! The humpbacks have been so active in the last few days. After seeing this one surface a few more times and getting to see some beautiful fluke dives we headed back home.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Hafsúlan: our journey this afternoon started and ended with rain, but it didn't stop us and the passengers to stay outside spotting our favorite animals. We saw a blow of 1 humpback whale in the distance performing shallow dives, but before getting to this one, we had 2 harbour porpoises close to us. We also had other 2 other humpies around, separated. One that was sleeping, very slow at the surface, while the other was breaching and pec slapping! We then decided to take a better look on this active one, that started to swim close to the boat and we could hear its very loud blow. In addition, 1 minke whale joined this productive area. On our way back home, we spotted another minke and about 8 harbour porpoises feeding next to a flock of birds. Sweet!
