CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: Today we were treated with a beautiful blue sky during the whole tour! The wind was still fresh, but we all stayed outside excited to spot the wildlife of Faxaflói bay. After almost one hour of sailing, we started spotting many flocks of birds. Amongst them, a little blow! Getting closer to it, we identified a minke whale that was not alone: we had 2 at the same area. We then spotted a bigger blow in the distance, but before getting to it, we saw a pod of 6 white-beaked dolphins traveling! Getting closer to the area, we saw we had a humpback whale going for shallow dives. For a while, it was even just logging on the surface, before going for a very lazy deep dive. There were a couple of splashes from more dolphins jumping quite far away and we saw how the bay was active today! On the way back, we saw 2 more minke whales in a different area than before. The wind was very weak, so we just enjoyed the sun when going back home. What a lovely morning!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: We set sail out into the bay with clear skies and sunshine! A brisk wind on our faces, the cetacean species kept up the suspense as we traveled far out into the bay. Suddenly, we were rewarded with the powerful blow of one humpback whale! This hungry humpback was showing off its impressive fluke as it dove down below. This humpback whale left a great impression by providing us with many opportunities to check out its dorsal, pectoral fins and even their wonderful face! As we sailed back to port we were greeted with the close flyby of a northern gannet, and enjoyed the ride back appreciating many of our seabirds species. What a tour!
