Report from Hafsúlan and Elding: After the morning trip we were confident and the weather continued to be excellent. The sea was very calm as we sailed from Reykjavík and the sun and sky were both beautiful. It took a few hours of searching before we finally found the Humpback Whales we were looking for, we had travelled quite a distance but it was totally worth it. There were at least 3 in the area and others in the distance. This meant that each boat could have a look while still being respectful. The whales were quite calm and were showing their flukes as they dived. There was some feeding going on as the oboard fish finder showed quite a lot of echo. It was certainly a nice tour and one which left everyone very pleased.

Report from Hafsúlan: What a morning. Amazing weather, calm seas and two wonderful Humpback Whales. Spotted just after 30 minutes of sailing. They were wonderful, surfacing together, completely at ease with our presence, showing their flukes as they went for a deep dive. Their dive times were not that long either. A great encounter. A lot of happy faces at the end of the tour.
