- CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00, 13:00
CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00
Report from Hafsúlan: The weather was as good as it can get as we went out with an bit of a breeze from the Northeast. Just a few minutes outside of the harbor, we came across our first humpback whale. It seemed to be busy feeding as it went for long dives and covered a lot of ground around us. We also spotted a 2nd humpback a bit far from there but we never for the chance of seeing it again, as it went for a fluke dive saying goodbye. We decided to go cover other areas as we had other boats close to us and then, as we didn't find anything else, we came back to the first humpback. We were able to spend a good time with it and see him fluke dive as well, as it was leading the way to Videy island area. Also we were able to spot a sneaky harbor seal that probably also was drawn to the area by the abundant herring. It was a great tour in the best weather.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Hafsulan: The sun continued to shine and warm us during our afternoon tour! We first spotted a humpback whale right outside the harbor. We got close and spent some time with him before we went on and searched around the islands. Then we spotted two blows in the distance but in opposite directions. We chose to see the whale that created the larger blow first. It was another humpback whale feeding in the bay. As it went for a longer dive we had the other whale coming through right in front of us. It was a fast and elegant minke whale that also seemed interested in the herring. We got a good look at him as he lead us around the bay for some time. Then, to out surprise, the before spotted humpback whale surfaced mere 10 meters away right in front of our drifting boat. This gave us great opportunities for pictures and incredible memories to take home.
