Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tour. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tour as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00

Report from Eldey: The weather was fantastic, with no wind and no waves coming out of the harbour. The sky was in pastel colours and so were the snow-capped mountains surrounding Reykjavík. 10 minutes into the tour we saw 3 tiny fins very close to Engey, they were from harbour porpoises that quickly swam away from the boat as they do almost every time. We continued our journey, scanning around the whole bay, some white caps started to appear in the distance but it was nothing but the wind. We circled a known hotspot for marine life but unfortunately, we couldn't find anything. On the way back we did spot 3 white-beaked dolphins but they were too quick for the untrained I to spot, some passengers saw them but were gone once every passenger came out to try to see them. Oh well, it wasn't the luckiest tour so we gave out complimentary tickets for our passengers to have another opportunity in the future!
