Tour at 1300
Report from Elding and Hafsúlan: Today we went out from Sandgerði because of the weather conditions. It was quite windy but the seas were not too rough. We sailed to the west to begin with and it did not take us long to find the first Humpback whale! It was travelling at a fast pace to the north. We got to see it a few times at a distance but it was swimming so fast that we decided to leave it be and headed south. After a while, some passengers spotted two blows in the distance. We had found two humpbacks more! There were almost stationary at times, surfacing frequently and came very close to the boats so we could even hear them breath. Excellent! All in all it was a bright, windy, beautiful day with good sightings and lots of birds.
