CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Hafsulan: This morning we set out before sunrise to get the most of the day! As we searched around the islands, the sun slowly made an appearance. It didn't take us very long before we spotted a humpback whale outside Skarfabakki harbour, logging at the surface. We were able to stay with it for a while watching it sleep soundly. Just before we left, the whale went for a deep dive and showed us its tail! After seeing its unique pattern, we saw that this was the same whale that's been hanging around the islands for a while - Banana. We decided to leave Banana to sleep and headed in search of other animals. Unfortunately, we didn't spot any so we had another look at Banana who seemed to be waking up a little and had another wonderful fluke dive from them before we headed back to the harbour.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The weather was in our favor as we went out onto the bay. We were lucky to find a humpback whale just a few minutes after we left the harbor. It was resting near the surface and so we had a good look at its size and as it went down with a graceful fluke dive, we had the best opportunity for some great pictures. We went for a search for more activity around the islands, enjoyed the clear air and the setting sun over Reykjavik. On our way back we stopped to see the beautiful humpback again before heading home.
