Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan and Elding: We sailed out with two boats today as we had just over 200 passengers joined us for today´s adventure. We started out of Reykjavík old harbour and sailed past the two islands of Engey and Viðey towards the town of Akranes, trying the keep the tour as comfortable due to the strong winds and swell, by staying close to the coast it sheilds us from most of it. Our boat Elding found a big flock of seabirds, mainly seagulls, cormorants and Gannets and a small pod of roughly 3-5 Harbour Porpoises, Hafsúlan joined elding and got a brief glimpse of the porpoises, most passengers missed them. The swell increased and we had to change direction towards Hafnafjörður, from then on the tour was lovely and smooth. The landscape was beautiful and the sunset become more and more stunning as the day unfolded. Our hope was mainly around the Hafnafjörður area but alas no whales around today. We gave our passengers complimentary tickets in the hope they would have a better whale experience next time. We ended the tour in Hafnafjörður where buses were waiting to take our passengers back to Reykjavík.
