Report from Eldey: What an unforgettable day out on Faxaflói! Even though it was a little chilly, the golden hour light made the whole bay look like something out of a postcard. The sea was so calm—perfect for whale watching. About 15 minutes in, we spotted our first blow—and not just one, but two humpback whales! They were being a bit sneaky, so after a while, we moved on. We sailed past Mount Esja, which was looking absolutely stunning against the soft afternoon light. Then, just as we thought we might be out of luck, we spotted another humpback! This time, we got an incredible close-up of its fluke as it dove down. The excitement on board was contagious—everyone was absolutely buzzing! Sadly, it was time to head back, but what a way to end the day. Faxaflói truly showed its best side today.
