Tour at 17:00
We started this tour with a stop in Lundey the other Puffin colony here close to Reykjavík. There were not as many Puffins there but still quite many of them flying around as well as Black-Guillemots, Kittiwakes, Eider Duck and Lesser Black-backed Gulls. We then headed out and this time we sailed for quite a while without seeing anything. Few Fulmars flying around and some Arctic Terns but no whales as far as we could see. Then suddenly really faraway a whale was spotted and then a blow. We didn't know what to expect since the whales have been quite difficult for the past few days but we saw another blow so it had come up about 4 times so we headed that way. While heading that way we didn't see anything and we stayed in the area for quite a while without seeing anything. When we were about to head further out when we spotted the blow again. This time another blow came right after the one we saw so there were two of them there and they came up again and these were HUMPBACK WHALES. Two of them to

Our mission today was to start the tour with a stop in Akurey to visit the Puffins but before we could reach the Island we found a pod of White-beaked Dolphins. They were really good and came very close to the boat, some leaping out of the water, a great surprise in the beginning of the tour. After staying with them for a little while we headed to Akurey which was filled with Puffins all around the Island. Later when we got the whale watching grounds we spotted some Harbour Porpoises and Minke Whales one of the Minke Whales was really nice surfacing many times and didn't deep dive for very long. Before we knew it our time had run out so we had to head back to the harbour. gether surfacing really slowly again and again and again. Almost as if they were resting but then all of a sudden one of them breached out of the water and made some splashes and tail slapping, it was so amazing. Great surprise making our day 10 times better :D

Report from Hafsúlan: This morning we headed straight out. After searching for a little while we spotted some Harbour Porpoises there were not many of them this time and we didn't stay with them for very long since they were rather difficult. Soon we found some Minke Whales, they were being difficult as well staying under the water for very long after each deep dive but they surfaced several times before the deep dive which was really good and they came pretty close to the boat as well. We then ended the tour with a stop in Akurey where we had a look at the Puffins.
Report from Elding: After sailing for 25 minutes we spotted the first group of Harbour Porpoises. This group was very nice; surfacing many times so all the passengers could see them quite well. Then we headed further out. Suddenly a Minke Whale surfaced 200 meters away from us and another one further away. It was a little bit difficult to get close to them but finally one of the Minke Whales came very close, so we could see the animal quite well. On our way back to the harbour we spotted a small group of White-beaked Dolphins, so three species on this tour. Very nice.
